O/others will look 
with interest and intrigue 
while we walk side by side,
tall,
taking the lead

we will look at them in the eyes
extend our hand in the time of need,
seeing the distress of the world,
praying we can help set them free

So as we walk in the shadows
humbled
and empowered
hopeful for the tomorrow
where acceptance and love we envision
will shine 
for all the others to see
